    I doubt the straight comes out anytime soon. What reasons would the have to being it back?

    Me too unfortunately. It should provide more power over the 3.6 as well as better mpg and also with its planned smaller displacement help them out with taxes over seas. its like gas guzzlers tax but they tax you by displacement.

    I wonder if they'll reeprise the 4.0L straight 6 engine that were so popular in earlier Jeep models.

    Use a base engine, offer a turbo version of that for the performance oriented customer and I think you'd have a winner.

    I bet all v6s will come with a turbo in these jeeps/trucks.

    If there is even a rumor of it I would hold out for it. the amount of power these things would have after a tune would be great! look at the ecoboost for instance. The make respectable hp and good tq stock. tune it and hp and tq make BIG jumps, couple that with a good flowing exhaust and a better flowing closed intake setup and send it!
